Joreta, Lithuania
The JORETA wind farm project involved the longest transport route among the wind energy logistics projects organized by Fulmenn UAB. Wind turbine components were transported over three consecutive nights, requiring precise logistical coordination and careful route preparation.
Within a limited timeframe, the transport route was fully prepared for oversized transport operations. The works included the design and temporary widening of turning areas at intersections, pruning of roadside vegetation, and the temporary modification of road signage using quick-release adaptors to allow the safe movement of the transport convoy.
One of the main challenges was navigating a section of the A1 highway that was under reconstruction during the transport. In close collaboration with the project developer, a temporary turnaround road was designed and implemented, allowing the transport vehicles to safely manoeuvre through the construction zone.
Through detailed planning, adaptive problem-solving, and effective collaboration, the transport operations were executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule, ensuring the successful delivery of all wind turbine components to the JORETA wind farm site.
